Raw Material
Shrimp shells are usually discarded in seafood processing, but at our company, we ensure they are not wasted and are instead reused as high-quality raw materials. Shrimp shells are rich in protein, calcium, and chitin, making them valuable for applications in the feed and pharmaceutical industries.
During raw material procurement, we conduct sampling and strict inspections to verify the absence of harmful substances such as melamine and acid cyanuric. This rigorous process ensures product quality and safety while maximizing the use of marine resources and contributing to waste reduction.
Contaminant Removal
At QHC Global, we carefully remove impurities and foreign substances using both manual labor and automated sorting equipment. This ensures that the shrimp shells remain free from contaminants, guaranteeing a high-quality raw material and the safety of the final product.
Mechanical Drying
Drying is carried out using a rotary drum, where heated air evenly evaporates moisture from the shrimp shells. The drum's rotation prevents uneven drying, and the temperature is controlled between 60-80°C. After drying, the temperature and moisture levels are checked, and if necessary, the material undergoes additional drying to ensure it reaches a fully dried state.
Fine Grinding
After the shrimp shell raw material has been properly dried, it is fed into a grinding machine and ground to the mesh size requested by the customer.
Inspection
To ensure that the product maintains the appropriate temperature and moisture levels, each batch undergoes random sampling for temperature measurement and moisture verification. At the same time, veterinary inspections are conducted to collect samples and confirm that there is no contamination from animal DNA, including pork, beef, chicken, sheep, goat, and horse. This process eliminates the risk of cross-contamination, ensuring a safe and high-quality product for our customers.
Packaging
After the inspection process is completed, the shrimp shell products are packaged in small bags or bulk bags (FIBC), and other packaging options can be customized according to customer specifications. This ensures the products are safely stored and delivered in the required format to meet customer needs.
Storage & Shipping
The finished products are stored in the warehouse and classified by lot in designated storage areas to facilitate a convenient and systematic export process. Maintaining quality control before container loading is a crucial step to ensure smooth export procedures when the products are transported to the port.
